About the position

The Senior Applications Engineer at The HEICO Companies, LLC will serve as a lead technical resource for customers in the thermal design space. This role is crucial for the Wakefield Thermal sales and engineering team, requiring a technically adept individual who can foster strong relationships and uphold the company's values of honesty and integrity. The engineer will be responsible for guiding product development, providing technical assistance, and ensuring the success of technical applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert input into product development by collaborating with internal teams and external customers.
• Offer technical guidance and applications assistance throughout project phases, from pre-design to installation.
• Understand and analyze key technical application metrics in relation to business performance.
• Participate in project status meetings, providing clear data for leadership decision-making.
• Track project progress and create meaningful feedback loops for continuous improvement.
• Maintain professional relationships with targeted accounts.
• Embrace a culture of proactive safety and integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree is highly desirable.
• 10+ years of progressive work experience in applications engineering within the thermal design space.
• Advanced SolidWorks skills, including part/assembly modeling and drawing creation; thermal simulation experience is a plus.
• Self-directed team player with a competitive nature and a collaborative spirit.
• Proven project management skills and experience leading projects.
• Strong understanding of the impact of the Senior Applications Engineering role across the organization.
