About the position

As the Senior Applications Engineer at The HEICO Companies, LLC, you will serve as a lead technical resource for our valued customer base, focusing on the design and implementation of our various, highly technical product offerings in the thermal design space. This position is integral to the Wakefield Thermal sales and engineering team, requiring a technically savvy individual who can build sound and trusting relationships with customers and internal teams alike. You will be expected to embrace and exemplify our culture of honesty, integrity, and good corporate citizenship, contributing to a proactive safety culture and fostering an environment of integrity and openness. In this role, you will provide expert input into initial and ongoing product development by interfacing with internal groups, channel partners, and external customers. You will offer technical guidance and applications assistance to a diverse customer base, covering all aspects from project pre-design, specifications, to installation. Understanding the relationship between key technical applications metrics and Wakefield Thermal's KPIs and overall business performance will be crucial. You will participate in regular project status meetings, providing clear and quantifiable data to enable key leadership to make educated, impactful, and concise decisions. Tracking progress and creating solid, meaningful feedback loops will be part of your responsibilities, as will owning the overall success of the technical application of Wakefield Thermal's design and implementation. Maintaining professional business relationships with targeted accounts will be essential, and the role requires 50% domestic travel to meet with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree highly desirable.
• 10+ years of progressive work experience in applications engineering within the thermal design space.
• Advanced SolidWorks skills, including part/assembly modeling and drawing creation; thermal simulation experience is a plus.
