About the position

As a Senior Applications Engineer at Airgas, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Solutions Group, primarily based in Twinsburg, OH, but with a focus on the West Coast. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of Airgas's bulk, industrial, and specialty gas business. You will be responsible for the design and installation of equipment that supports Airgas's diverse portfolio of gas applications across various industries. Your contributions will directly impact customer satisfaction and brand loyalty, as you work to exceed customer expectations through innovative solutions and exceptional service. In this position, you will leverage your engineering expertise to develop and implement solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively. Your strong communication skills will be essential as you interact with customers, understand their requirements, and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities

  • Design and install equipment to support Airgas's gas applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project execution.
  • Provide technical support to customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop solutions that meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect within the organization.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of process or sales engineering experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Capable of traveling up to approximately 70% (including overnight as required).

Nice-to-haves

  • BSChe or BSME preferred.
  • 2-4 years of industrial food processing experience (Cryogenic, Spiral freezers, Temperature Control, Nitrogen injection, etc.).
  • Proficiency in working with Auto CAD, ChemCAD simulation software.
  • Previous experience working with bulk specialists team members.
