About the position

The Senior Applied AI Engineer at Front is responsible for developing and implementing generative AI applications that enhance product features and user experiences. This role focuses on areas such as automated content creation, data synthesis, and augmentation, playing a crucial part in innovating product offerings. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies into the Front platform, ensuring rapid iteration and customer feedback are prioritized to drive meaningful improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy generative AI applications using NodeJS & TS.
• Collaborate with product teams to identify opportunities for generative AI to solve user needs.
• Lead the exploration and implementation of state-of-the-art generative AI techniques.
• Inform the AI model training and deployment infrastructure for scalability and efficiency.
• Ensure access to high-quality data for model training and validation.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI applications, making necessary adjustments.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in machine learning and AI, advocating for best practices.

Requirements

• Demonstrated senior-level experience in software development with a focus on AI and machine learning projects.
• Expertise in developing production applications using LLMs and Generative AI models.
• Strong experience with prompting techniques, RAG pipelines, and fine-tuning SLMs and LLMs.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge in specialized machine learning areas such as deep learning and reinforcement learning.
• Experience in SaaS or team-based application machine learning implementations.
