About the position

As part of NVIDIA's applied LLM chip design team, this role focuses on developing and optimizing algorithms for enterprise data to create advanced AI applications that enhance chip design. The position involves transforming innovative research into practical solutions, driving impact through LLM-powered engineering assistants and dialogue systems, and engaging with cutting-edge technologies in machine learning and AI.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize retrieval and generation algorithms for enterprise data (text, code, and images).
  • Design and deploy LLM-powered solutions for engineering assistants and multi-turn, multi-modal dialogue systems.
  • Leverage AI technologies to solve complex problems in chip design.
  • Engage with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI to create state-of-the-art solutions.
  • Maintain high-quality engineering practices and inspire others to achieve excellence.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of proven industry experience.
  • Proficiency in rapid prototyping using languages like Python and C++.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with training and fine-tuning large language models, advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, vector databases, and agentic frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
