About the position

CellarTracker is seeking a Senior Applied Machine Learning Engineer to leverage data and generative AI in developing innovative consumer products. This role involves analyzing complex datasets, creating machine learning models, and translating insights into impactful features, all while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights that drive product decisions.
  • Design, develop, and implement machine learning models, including generative AI models, to enhance our platform's capabilities.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to integrate machine learning solutions into consumer-facing products.
  • Continuously refine models for improved performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Create clear and compelling visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in AI and data science to ensure our technologies remain cutting-edge.
  • Take responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of data projects, acting as an owner throughout the process.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on machine learning and applied AI.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python and R, and experienced with data science libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI models (e.g., transformers, GANs) and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Strong skills in SQL and experience working with large-scale databases.
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods and their application in real-world scenarios.
  • Experience deploying and optimizing machine learning models in production environments, with attention to scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of distilling complex data into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, valuing empathy and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated bias for action with the ability to drive projects independently.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and develop innovative solutions.
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
