About the position

The Senior Front End Web Developer (ArcGIS) will be responsible for developing and enhancing web applications using ArcGIS technologies. This role involves working within a Scrum team to complete user stories, address bugs, and manage technical debt while designing and implementing new features. The developer will also monitor application performance, resolve security vulnerabilities, and publish and troubleshoot ArcGIS Server map services.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a Scrum Team
• Complete user stories, bugs, and technical debt
• Review and modify code for front-end modules and tools
• Design and build new features, functionality, and modules
• Evaluate user requests for new features/functionality and provide necessary technical assistance
• Monitor application performance and recommend/implement efficiency improvements
• Help resolve security risks and vulnerabilities
• Publish, tune, and troubleshoot ArcGIS Server map services

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in front-end web development
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
• Experience with Vue/Vuetify or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of Esri ArcGIS, ArcSDE, and ArcGIS Server
• Experience with JavaScript API (version 3.x and 4.x)
• Familiarity with configuration and troubleshooting
• Experience in map service publishing, tuning, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency with IDEs/tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, and IntelliJ
• Experience with version control systems like Azure DevOps and GIT

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for project management
• Understanding of Agile methodology
• Experience with Java, J2EE, and Spring Ecosystem
• Knowledge of ORM tools like Hibernate and Ibatis/Mybatis
• Experience with workflow engines such as JBPM and Activiti
• Familiarity with web application servers like Tomcat
• Experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics and ArcGIS Monitor
• Knowledge of Oracle and Oracle Spatial
• Experience with PL/SQL
• Familiarity with Esri APIs including ArcGIS API for Python, ArcPy, and ArcGIS Rest API
• Experience with FME
• Knowledge of Angular JS and Angular 17 and above
