About the position

The Application Delivery Services Senior Architect at Bank of America is responsible for defining the architectural vision and solutions for large, complex systems that align with the enterprise architecture strategy. This role involves engaging with various business lines to understand their requirements, developing technology stacks, and ensuring compliance with security policies while driving solutions through necessary approvals.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural vision and architecture for large complex solutions.
• Align technology capabilities with business requirements.
• Develop technology stacks and define roadmaps.
• Engage with Lines of Businesses and CTO teams to understand their requirements.
• Develop solutions that meet or exceed stakeholder requirements.
• Vetting solutions against Information Security policy.
• Socialize and garner executive support for proposed architectures.
• Drive proposed solutions through Architecture tollgates and obtain required approvals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Application Delivery Services (F5 Networks or VMware ALB).
• Expert-level load balancing experience with tiered designs in large enterprise environments.
• Advanced knowledge of network architecture and protocols.
• Proficient in Hybrid Cloud concepts and public cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with micro-services and containerized applications (OpenShift/Kubernetes).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Experience with commercial events (RFI, RFP, etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills including reporting, organization, and communication.

Nice-to-haves

• BA or BS in Telecommunications, Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in an Agile managed organization using Jira, Kanban, Confluence, and Horizon.
• Python, PERL, BASH scripting experience.
• Experience with Ansible, Itential, and CICD Processes.
• Knowledge of vSphere (vCenter, ESXi, vSAN).
• Experience with SDN-based Service Chains.
