About the position

The Senior Architect / Client Manager at SEH will lead and direct business activities to foster long-term client relationships and create sustainable workstreams within the Municipal Market in Florida. This role involves collaborating with regional teams to deliver architectural design projects, marketing SEH's services, and mentoring junior staff, all while ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct business activities to build long-term client relationships.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to lead projects and technical staff in delivering architectural design projects.
  • Market SEH's architectural services and manage communication between clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Lead proposal collaboration efforts and develop proposals that position SEH for winning work.
  • Conduct client meetings and develop relationships with municipal and private clients to secure new projects.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Represent SEH at conferences and professional organizations to promote municipal market expertise.

Requirements

  • Professional Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
  • Licensed Architect in the state of Florida.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and coordinate activities across regional teams.
  • Proven project management experience guiding project teams through the architectural design process.
  • Understanding of building construction processes and ability to create technical documentation.
  • Experience managing multiple projects through prioritization and workload scheduling.
  • Working knowledge of standard building code reviews and facility space planning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of twelve years of experience in municipal market architecture, focusing on fire station development.
  • Experience in industrial and private sector markets.
  • NCARB Certification with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states.
  • Business development experience with a proven track record in securing new business opportunities.
  • Understanding of project financial metrics and ability to manage project financial performance.
  • Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite including Microsoft Project.
