About the position

The Senior Manager Data Engineering at Publicis Sapient is responsible for leading data-driven projects that enable enterprise clients to achieve transformative solutions. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their needs, providing technical expertise, and ensuring high-quality deliverables through adherence to development standards. The position also includes mentoring team members and participating in code reviews, making it essential for candidates to have a strong background in AWS data services and data integration.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in delivering data-driven interactive experiences to clients.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technology solutions.
  • Provide expertise as a technical resource to solve complex business issues related to data integration and database systems designs.
  • Problem solve to resolve issues and remove barriers throughout the lifecycle of client engagements.
  • Ensure all deliverables are high quality by setting development standards and participating in code reviews.
  • Participate in integrated validation and analysis sessions of components and subsystems on production servers.
  • Mentor, support, and manage team members.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud data platform/services.
  • Strong understanding of threading, Asyncio, string formatting, Dict, JSON, and pydantic.
  • Proficiency in advanced Python concepts such as list comprehension, higher order functions, and idioms.
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Pytest/unittest.
  • Knowledge of library packaging/publishing, Cython, Profiler/cProfile, and pycallgraph.
  • Familiarity with Numpy.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work as a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously in leadership and contributing to tasks hands-on.
