About the position
The position involves managing and supervising a team of design professionals and other staff to develop sustainability projects and programs. Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a team of design professionals and other staff.
- Oversee the development of presentations and grant application materials related to sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Plan and implement special events to promote the district's sustainability goals.
- Organize and participate in sustainability awareness campaigns.
- Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies, service providers, and community organizations to identify funding and develop sustainability initiatives.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external sustainability-focused organizations and partners.
- Prepare applications for prospective grant funding opportunities with other departments.
- Manage and update the Sustainability Initiatives Unit website.
- Assist in coordination and outreach for sustainability-related educational programs.
- Create and present information as needed.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of full-time paid professional experience managing sustainability projects or programs.
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Architecture, or Marketing.
Nice-to-haves
- Additional experience in facilities design and architecture.
