About the position

The Senior Architectural Designer position in Los Angeles is a pivotal role for a licensed designer or one on the path to licensure, who possesses a professional degree in architecture from an accredited program and has a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. The candidate will be tasked with specific technical design aspects of assigned projects, which includes investigating, evaluating, and recommending design solutions that align with the client's needs. This role requires the ability to provide professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large, complex projects. A collaborative team-oriented environment is essential, and the candidate must exhibit proactive communication skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to independently apply advanced architectural design concepts and manage complex or novel assignments that necessitate the development of new or improved techniques and procedures. Additionally, the candidate may be responsible for mentoring and providing technical guidance to less experienced team members. Key qualifications include the ability to lead the design and drawing process, develop skills in design and construction documentation, and effectively teach these skills to others. Coordination with team members, sub-consultants, vendors, and stakeholders is crucial, as is the ability to review both personal work and that of other designers.
