We are seeking a dynamic Senior Area Sales Manager (ASM) to join our Builder Channel team, focusing on Multi-Family and Single-Family National accounts in the Fort Myers/Naples area. This role is critical in driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and managing all aspects of the customer experience, from product delivery to quality and consistency. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, results-driven professional with experience in solution-based selling and a deep understanding of the builder channel market.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and promote GE Appliances to builders, developers, and authorized distributors in the assigned territory.
  • Execute and achieve sales and margin goals as outlined in the operating plan.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while being mindful of channel conflicts.
  • Cold-call prospective accounts to turn leads into purchasing customers.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through solution-based selling.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
  • Provide exceptional support to builders and distributors by understanding their unique needs.
  • Analyze market conditions and sales strategies to uncover opportunities for growth.
  • Conduct competitive landscape assessments to identify potential threats and opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver sales training for customers and partners to enhance product knowledge.
  • Present GE Appliances' product value propositions effectively to builders and developers.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities to meet reporting deadlines and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and activity reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in field sales or the appliance industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience or completion of GE Appliances Commercial Development Program.
  • Willingness to reside in the Fort Myers/Naples, FL area.
  • Ability to work independently from a home office.

  • Prior GE Appliances sales experience is a plus.
  • 2+ years of business-to-business (B2B) wholesale contractor sales experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in appliance sales.
