We are currently seeking a Senior Area Sales Manager (ASM) to join our Builder Channel team in the Fort Myers/Naples area. This role is pivotal in driving sales activities within assigned contract and builder accounts, focusing on both Multi-Family and Single-Family National business. The ASM will manage all aspects of the customer experience, ensuring quality and consistency in product delivery. In this position, you will be responsible for selling and promoting appliances to new and existing customers, including builders, developers, and authorized distributors. You will execute and deliver on all sales and margin operating plan goals, identify new business opportunities, and develop marketing strategies to grow the territory while being mindful of potential channel conflicts. Building strong customer relationships through solution selling and effectively resolving issues will be key to your success. Additionally, you will analyze market and sales strategies, assess the competitive landscape, and determine opportunities for growth. Conducting sales training and performing necessary administrative functions to meet deadlines will also be part of your responsibilities. A significant aspect of this role will involve cold calling prospective accounts and converting them into purchasing accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and promote appliances to new and existing customers, builders, developers, and authorized distributors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant sales experience or graduate of the GE Appliances Commercial Development Program.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent field sales/industry experience.
  • Willingness to live in the Fort Myers/Naples, FL area.
  • Desire to work from a home office.

  • Experience in developing, organizing, and implementing sales plans that support business objectives.
  • Ability to develop and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Proven negotiation skills with a tenacious approach to driving sales results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills.

  • Cold calling sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management as well as peers.
  • Prior GE Appliances sales experience.
  • 2+ years business to business (B2B) wholesale contractor sales experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in appliance sales.
