The Senior Art Director (Digital) position at LEGO is a pivotal role that combines creativity with strategic marketing to deliver compelling digital content. The Senior Art Director will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing digital-first campaigns that are shopper-focused, ensuring a premium and memorable experience for consumers. This involves maintaining and enhancing design templates for digital content, sharing best practices, and improving efficiencies across the marketing department. In this role, the Senior Art Director will take direction from Creative leads and Strategists to create designs that align with marketing objectives across various digital channels. The position requires active participation in brainstorm sessions to develop innovative concept proposals and the ability to present content clearly and compellingly. Collaboration is key, as the Senior Art Director will work closely with Project Managers, Copywriters, and the Creative team to meet campaign milestones and deliverables. Additionally, the role involves liaising with external vendors, including illustrators and motion graphics specialists, to ensure high-quality campaign execution. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the creative development process and a proven track record of delivering effective campaign content across digital mediums. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication skills to present work thoughtfully in internal reviews and partner meetings. The Senior Art Director will also stay updated on industry trends and design technologies to continuously push the boundaries of creativity and technology in their work.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize new campaign ideas that are digital-first and shopper-focused.
  • Maintain and enhance design templates for digital content.
  • Create designs across marketing levers for execution across digital channels.
  • Attend and/or lead brainstorm sessions to develop concept proposals.
  • Develop content that solves business problems and meets marketing objectives.
  • Present content clearly and compellingly, articulating creative direction choices.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Strategists, Copywriters, and the Creative team.
  • Work with external vendors to ensure high-quality campaign execution.
  • Communicate and collaborate with UX designers and web developers.
  • Ensure a high standard of visual execution across all work and within brand guidelines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, design technology, and new marketing platforms.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of design experience, with at least 1 year of experience art directing internal and external teams.
  • Experience designing for global brands.
  • Expert level skills in Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Sketch, Figma, and Microsoft Office.
  • Proven track record of delivering bold, effective campaign content across digital mediums.
  • Ability to self-direct, context shift, and prioritize work assignments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present work thoughtfully in internal reviews and partner meetings.
  • Deep understanding of the creative development process and successful marketing campaigns.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multi-discipline teams in other time zones.
