About the position
The Senior Art Director for the Global Design Studio at Shiseido is a pivotal role that requires a highly creative individual with extensive experience in photo art direction across various platforms. This position focuses on translating marketing strategies into compelling visual storytelling while ensuring adherence to global brand guidelines. The role involves collaboration with the Executive Director/VP to inspire and lead a team, manage creative projects, and oversee the development of marketing assets for both in-store and digital initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and maintenance of global creative guidelines for market execution.
- Oversee the development and sampling of in-store gifting and loyalty collateral projects.
- Manage asset creation for seasonal launches and global initiatives, including on-model and product photography.
- Motivate and utilize team members effectively to fulfill creative initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Director/VP of the Global Design Studio.
Requirements
- BFA or higher in design or a related field.
- 7+ years of overall experience, with 3+ years at an Art Director level in a creative agency or leading beauty brand.
- Experience in team management and leadership.
- Ability to develop and express creative concepts in both 2D and 3D formats.
- Expert knowledge of Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Bridge, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with 3D collateral samples and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and provide effective oversight on projects.
