About the position

As a Senior ASIC Design Engineer for Memory Controllers at NVIDIA, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for designing and implementing advanced Memory Controllers for GeForce GPUs and Tegra SoCs. This role is pivotal in influencing product lines that span consumer graphics, self-driving cars, and artificial intelligence, contributing to the development of cutting-edge computing platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects, software engineers, and circuit designers to deliver world-class Memory Controller solutions.
  • Take responsibility for micro-architecture and design, including RTL design, synthesis, functional verification, and timing analysis.
  • Utilize advanced CAD tools and the latest process technologies in the design process.
  • Engage in all stages of the ASIC design flow, including emulation, prototyping, DFT, timing analysis, floor planning, ECO, bringup & lab debug, and ATE test development.

Requirements

  • BS or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related degree; advanced degrees (MS, PhD) are a plus.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in high-speed DRAM and/or processor design (e.g., Graphics, Microprocessors, Network Processors, or Mobile/Multimedia SoCs).
  • Knowledge of HBM, GDDR, LPDDR, DDR, or related protocols.
  • Strong working knowledge of Verilog or VHDL.
  • Experience with high-speed clocking, cache interfaces, and protocols.
  • Familiarity with board and system-level issues.
  • Programming skills in C and/or PERL.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; mentoring experience is a plus.
