The Senior Asset Reliability Manager at Perrigo is a pivotal role focused on enhancing the reliability and performance of plant assets. This position involves collaborating with the Corporate Reliability Leader to develop and implement an Asset Care Program tailored for the plant level. The manager will oversee the Plant Asset Care team, providing essential supervision, support, coaching, and training to ensure the effective execution of the program. A key responsibility includes monitoring the daily operations of both Planned and Unplanned Maintenance, with a strong emphasis on driving improvements to minimize both planned and unplanned stoppages. In this role, the Senior Asset Reliability Manager will promote the company's culture, values, and principles while actively participating in company functions. The manager will leverage technical expertise to drive continuous improvement in asset reliability, focusing on performance enhancements in Safety, Quality, and Production. This includes the effective use of condition monitoring and predictive methodologies, such as vibration analysis, thermal imaging, oil analysis, and ultrasound, to identify and address inherent reliability issues. The position also entails maintaining the Maintenance Asset Database, overseeing the Planning and Scheduling Process, and managing the storeroom. The manager will develop proactive maintenance strategies, including Preventative, Predictive, and Precision Maintenance, tailored to specific assets. Additionally, the role requires the creation of individual training and development plans for team members to optimize resource utilization. The Senior Asset Reliability Manager will lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) initiatives for unreliable assets, utilizing critical thinking to devise alternative solutions and approaches to equipment problems. Furthermore, the manager will be responsible for the Business Sponsorship Program, Maintenance Skills Program, and Apprentice Program, aimed at building a talent pipeline and enhancing employee retention. Monitoring key performance indicators in line with Best Maintenance Practices is essential, as is fostering collaboration among various functions, including Engineering, Production, and Quality Management, to address operational gaps. The role also involves ensuring compliance with Reliable Manufacturing Standards and Maintenance processes through education and partnership with plant personnel, as well as overseeing the implementation of repairs and modifications resulting from gap assessments, audits, and loss improvement activities.
