About the position

The Senior Asset Supplier Management Specialist is responsible for the strategic management of software and technology-related hardware within the University of Phoenix. This role involves monitoring and tracking software licenses and hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts, as well as developing and implementing procedures for asset management throughout their lifecycles. The position requires collaboration with suppliers and partners to optimize asset usage and ensure adherence to service level agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Establish procedures for managing Telecom, Software and Hardware assets.
  • Ensure and drive accurate and compliant asset management, including lifecycle management, acquisitions, receiving, asset tracking, tagging, inventorying and updating system asset records in Asset Management database.
  • Gather detailed hardware and software entitlement and usage inventory information to ensure compliance, eliminate risks and support decisions about hardware and software purchases.
  • Manage suppliers' and partners' contracts to ensure adherence to established service level agreements, processes, policies and deliverables.
  • Contribute to coordinating and governing ITAM processes linked to acquiring, receiving, warehousing, distributing, tracking, installing, moving, adding, changing (IMAC), recovering and disposing of IT hardware and/or software assets.
  • Ensure proper disposal of hardware assets, including destruction of storage media and environmentally sound disposal of remaining components in partnership with third party supplier.
  • Perform other duties as required or apparent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Four (4) years' experience of proven understanding of IT operations
  • Experience with coordinating workflow and work of asset management suppliers
  • Prior experience with an IT Asset Management systems
  • Proven ability to coordinate with all levels of technical and management staff
  • ITIL and ITAM best practice knowledge and experience
  • Ability to handle administrative detail and work with limited supervision and guidance
  • Understanding of supplier management functions and contract governance
  • Experience managing contracts, suppliers, SLAs, and reporting capabilities
  • Proficiency with computers and computer software, specifically in the Microsoft Office suite, primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
