About the position

The position involves programming and testing software features and user stories with a focus on automation. The role requires collaboration within an agile environment, contributing to system design decisions, and learning complex software engineering practices. The individual will manage risks and customer-impacting issues while supporting production systems and understanding their impact on the product.

Responsibilities

• Complete most features and user stories including test cases and automation unattended.
• Learn complex software engineering practices such as domain driven design, test driven development, operations, and security.
• Contribute to agile ceremonies and lead demos and presentations.
• Help new engineers learn established norms and participate in technology communities.
• Participate in system design decisions and learn how these decisions impact the product as a whole.
• Support production systems and understand how observed events and failures impact the product.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, Information Security, Information Technology or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
• Technical proficiency rating of advance beginner on the Dreyfus engineering scale for internal applicants.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with operating systems such as Windows, MVS, Linux/UNIX.
• Familiarity with databases like Oracle 9.x/10g/11g and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Finacle Scripting, C/C++, Unix Shell Scripting, PL/SQL, Java/J2EE, HTML.
• Experience with software tools like SQL Developer, JCL, CICS, and various development environments.
