About the position

The Senior Associate Athletic Director, Compliance & Internal Operations at Rider University is responsible for ensuring compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations. This role involves advising student-athletes and staff, overseeing internal operations, and serving as the primary liaison with various academic and administrative departments. The position also includes responsibilities related to student-athlete academic support and the administration of several sports programs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and advise student-athletes and staff on NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
• Serve as the primary sport administrator for several sports, based on experience and interests.
• Oversee internal operations related to athletics.
• Manage student-athlete academic support services.
• Act as the primary athletic liaison with the faculty athletic representative, registrar, admissions, financial aid, and student academic support services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 3 years of NCAA Division I compliance experience
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Experience in a college athletic environment and ability to work with a diverse range of people
• Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree preferred
• 5 to 10 years of experience in athletics administration/compliance.
