About the position

The Senior/Associate Athletic Director for NCAA Compliance and Student Services at UNLV is responsible for overseeing the NCAA Compliance office's daily operations. This role involves managing compliance functions, implementing educational programs, and ensuring adherence to NCAA, Mountain West Conference, and university regulations for student-athletes and staff. The position also includes maintaining student-athlete records, reporting, and providing leadership to compliance staff and committees, while serving as a liaison with various university departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the NCAA Compliance office.
• Manage NCAA compliance functions and implement an education platform.
• Enforce NCAA, MWC, and University rules and regulations for student-athletes, coaches, and staff.
• Maintain student-athlete files and handle NCAA and MWC reporting.
• Provide ad hoc reporting on compliance functions to senior athletics staff and university counsel.
• Supervise compliance staff, graduate assistants, and interns, including assigning duties and evaluating performance.
• Serve as a member of the Athletics Senior Staff, participating in strategic planning and communication.
• Represent the department at events and administrative functions as directed by the Director of Athletics.
• Chair or serve on various athletics committees, including SWAT and Scholarship Committee.
• Act as the primary athletic liaison with faculty athletic representatives and other university departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of three (3) years of comparable professional experience in NCAA compliance or related field.
