About the position

The Senior Associate, Chief of Staff for Finance at Capital One plays a crucial role in supporting the strategy, operations, and culture of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to manage financial oversight across Capital One's lines of business, contributing to key projects, and enhancing the overall culture within the FP&A organization. The role requires a blend of analytical, project management, and communication skills to effectively support senior leadership and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide key support to a VP+ population in a well-managed and intentional way.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional key partners to understand processes and drive results.
  • Serve as a key thought partner to the lead CoS and a project manager on emerging strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and iterate on processes, programs, and routines while making recommendations and decisions in gray space.
  • Support the sourcing of topics, building of agendas and activities for leader routines.
  • Initiate program/process improvements to mitigate risks and optimize efficiencies.
  • Support programs and routines that ensure connectivity and build upon the One FP&A cultural mindset.
  • Connect dots and influence across multiple teams and working groups without direct authority.
  • Lead and develop change management plans in support of organizational changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience.
  • At least 1 year of work experience in Project Management OR Process Management OR on a Chief of Staff team.
