About the position

The Senior Associate, Communications Delivery Product Owner role at New York Life focuses on managing service communications for agents and external clients. This position involves overseeing the transition of correspondence from legacy systems to a modern document composition platform, ensuring effective communication delivery through agile methodologies. The Product Owner acts as the voice of the customer, prioritizing work and collaborating with various teams to meet business communication needs.

Responsibilities

• Create and prioritize the backlog of work for the communications agile scrum team using Jira and Confluence.
• Collaborate with other Product Owners, Tech, Testing Teams, and Product SMEs for ongoing management of the portfolio of work.
• Utilize the Opentext Exstream Content Author platform to transform content and business rules for client communications.
• Work on a high-performing team focused on the successful delivery of timely and effective communications.
• Partner and collaborate for solutions to increase the use of digital delivery as part of digital modernization efforts.
• Contribute to written communication content as needed using the Opentext Content Author tool, adhering to NYL standards and tone of voice guidelines.
• Oversee day-to-day product needs and contribute to issue investigation and resolution with Product Owners.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of industry experience
• Strong understanding of Business to Customer communications, standards, and best practices across industry leaders
• Experience driving success on projects with multiple stakeholders
• Agile methodology experience required
• Practice of Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery a plus
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple project deliverables
• Effective Communication skills and experience demonstrating leadership
• Knowledge of NY Life Products and Services preferred
