As a Senior Associate Cybersecurity Analyst, you will conduct analysis and tracking for the remediation of application security vulnerabilities and secret violations findings. You'll play a key role managing and driving application security vulnerability remediation's and drive effective resolutions, continuously tracking and reporting on initiative progress. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving security issues, ensuring that all vulnerabilities are addressed in a timely manner and that best practices are documented and shared with application teams. You will be responsible for coordinating, tracking, and managing the remediation of application security vulnerabilities and secrets violation findings. This includes providing guidance on remediation efforts, documenting best practices on secure application development, and collaborating with business partners to track and report on initiative milestones and risk remediation efforts. Your role will also involve preparing reports and presentation materials for department, committee, and board-level discussions, ensuring that all remediation solutions are validated and risks are fully mitigated.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, tracks and manages remediation of application security vulnerabilities and secrets violation findings.
  • Provides guidance on remediation of the vulnerabilities and escalates overdue completions as per the documented process.
  • Documents best practices on secure application development, management, and coaches the application teams on it.
  • Collaborates with business partners to track and report on initiative milestones and/or risk remediation efforts.
  • Ensures remediation solutions are validated, risks are fully mitigated, and open findings are resolved.
  • Assists in the preparation of department, committee, and board-level reports and presentation material.
  • Escalates to senior peers or management in order to satisfy target deadlines.

Requirements

  • Experience in application security analysis and vulnerability management.
  • Strong understanding of secure application development practices.
  • Ability to document and communicate best practices effectively.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive security initiatives.
  • Proficient in tracking and reporting on project milestones and risk remediation efforts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to application security.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies used for vulnerability assessment.
  • Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or similar).
