About the position

ORIX Corporation USA is seeking a Sr. Associate, Cloud Data Governance Engineer to join the Enterprise Data Solutions team. This team is responsible for mastering data, cataloging efforts, and building Azure integrations for ORIX and its affiliate companies. The ideal candidate will be a superior business and data professional who is comfortable with various data management technologies. The candidate should have a strong expertise and passion for building data mastering, cataloging, and integrations for data warehouses and applications. This role involves close collaboration with leaders across business and IT to implement and support a high-quality data warehouse platform. The responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining Master Data Management (MDM) repositories, as well as creating basic data models. The candidate will develop and implement MDM strategies and solutions, preferably using Profisee or other mastering tools. Collaboration with source systems data stewards, system owners, and technical personnel for data governance is essential, as is resolving any data quality or technical issues related to data ingestion. The role also requires implementing data integration processes using Azure Data Factory to synchronize master data across systems. The candidate must document the design and develop data integrations, source-to-target mappings, architecture design considerations, and trade-offs. Additionally, the candidate will develop and maintain a centralized data catalog for the organization, documenting data sources and definitions, preferably using Azure Purview or other data catalog tools. Implementing data governance policies and standards within the data catalog to ensure data quality and compliance is also a key responsibility. The candidate should understand the logic behind queries in relation to business needs and be able to create and tune complex SQL queries. This position involves frequent contact with all levels of employees and management, as well as interaction with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university in finance, mathematics, statistics, information systems, or other business field.
  • 10+ years' experience designing innovative data solutions for financial services organizations.
  • Experience with Profisee Master Data Management and Azure Purview for Data catalog is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and data governance principles.
  • Strong expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Metadata (Business, Technical, and Operational).
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server databases and data warehouses to support business applications.
  • High proficiency with data integration and data quality management.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments to meet critical and established deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to lead and work with remote and offshore teams.
