About the position

The Senior Associate, Digital Forensics position at Alvarez & Marsal involves leading a team of consultants to assist clients in managing forensic data technologies during legal and regulatory situations. This role requires expertise in digital forensics, eDiscovery, and data analysis to uncover and manage evidence related to complex legal matters. Responsibilities

• Lead a team of consultants in forensic data collection and processing.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of forensic data collection, including identification, recovery, preparation, analysis, and preservation.
• Manage onsite data collection activities and maintain documentation according to chain of custody protocols.
• Perform data extraction and conversion for analysis in a review environment.
• Analyze digital artifacts to trace user activity and prepare reports for clients and legal counsel.
• Build consultative relationships with stakeholders to guide best practices in data handling.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-6 years' experience in digital forensics in a client-facing professional service setting.
• Extensive experience with forensic tool suites such as OpenText EnCase and Cellebrite.
• Sound technical understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client and team interactions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
• A BS, BBA, or BA degree in a technical or analytical field.

Nice-to-haves

• Training and certifications from industry organizations (e.g., GFCE, EnCE, CISSP).
• Experience with quantitative tools such as SAS, Stata, Python, R, Power BI, or SQL.
