About the position

The Senior Associate-Digital Product Management role at American Express involves designing, developing, and managing product activities throughout their lifecycle. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance product strategies and roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of product features while adhering to agile methodologies. The role emphasizes the importance of customer insights and data analysis to drive product development and improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Develops the business case for new products or features.
  • Researches regulatory developments and provides preliminary input on analysis of potential implications to existing Products.
  • Prepares the documentation of as-is processes for product management, product enhancements, key findings and standard methodologies.
  • Builds, updates, and improves policies and procedures of products.
  • Crafts and maintains a product backlog for a specific product and ensures user stories are aligned to underlying product outcomes.
  • Acts as a point of contact for internal inquiries.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology and other adjacent stakeholders to gather and document product requirements and to ensure timely delivery of product features, following agile development methodologies.
  • Identifies technical gaps and collaborates with broader team to facilitate resolution risks, opportunities and changes tied to product management initiatives and processes.
  • Facilitates the reports & presentations for product governance meetings and Senior leadership meeting.

Requirements

  • Experience in product development and management.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize features and manage a product backlog effectively.
  • Experience in market analysis and product strategy.
