About the position

The Senior Associate Environmental Forensic Chemist position at Environmental Standards involves a comprehensive role focused on environmental forensics, data validation, and business development. This fully remote position requires a trained chemist with extensive experience in environmental analytical data and forensic data interpretation. The role emphasizes collaboration with various teams, client engagement, and the application of analytical chemistry principles to deliver impactful solutions for environmental challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Familiarize with Environmental Standards' administrative personnel and department capabilities.
  • Understand Business Development (BD) personnel and department capabilities, including CRM software usage.
  • Review Chemistry SOPs related to data validation and site assessment activities.
  • Demonstrate understanding of analysis principles, compliance requirements, and validation procedures.
  • Participate in environmental and forensic data review and interpretation projects.
  • Engage industry contacts to sell services offered by Environmental Standards.
  • Provide project management and lead laboratory procedural reviews.
  • Conduct laboratory audits for compliance with standards and quality management systems.
  • Prepare program quality documents, including SAP/QAPPs and SOPs.
  • Support business development initiatives and meet sales goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or an allied science; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of environmental analytical data validation or laboratory experience focused on QA or project management.
  • 5+ years of environmental chemical forensic data interpretation experience.
  • Strong grasp of statistical data evaluation techniques.
  • Understanding of US EPA methods for environmental sample analysis.
  • Strong analytical chemistry principles application to environmental data review.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Established track record of technical presentations at industry events.
  • Ability to travel throughout North America for client presentations.
  • Familiarity with environmental data management systems like EQuIS and Envirodata.
