About the position

Wayfair is seeking a passionate storyteller to join its Corporate Communications team. This hybrid in-office role based in Boston, MA, offers an exciting opportunity to develop and create content for media, social media, and owned channels, while working cross-functionally with key stakeholders. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects under tight deadlines, and will report to the Manager of External Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain key corporate social media channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Monitor social media and other media for coverage on key campaigns and crises
  • Research, write, and develop new and existing stories for corporate blogs and social media, supporting corporate communications priorities
  • Analyze and report on data across corporate channels including social media, corporate blog and website
  • Develop and maintain editorial calendar to ensure consistent social media and editorial content
  • Create digital graphics for social media, digital signage and blog posts
  • Assist in creating press briefing materials and staff media interviews with Wayfair spokespeople
  • Assist in managing media inbounds and monitor coverage

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 4+ years of experience in corporate communications or public relations, either in-house or with an agency
  • Experience with Google Analytics and/or Looker Studio
  • Experience in developing content and managing social media and corporate channels on pages such as: LinkedIn, Facebook, X, etc.
  • Working knowledge design in the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and CMS platforms
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail; carefully and consistently proofs own work
  • Superior organizational skills and proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
  • Strong quantitative skills, comfortable navigating a data-driven business environment
  • Critical thinker who is flexible and open to change and new information
