About the position

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking a talented and motivated Sr. Associate, Instructional Designer to join our Leadership Development team and help us develop high-quality learning experiences that drive success and growth. The Senior Associate, Instructional Designer is responsible for the identification, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning solutions that improve employee performance and retention enabling BAYADA Home Health Care to meet its business objectives and outcomes. This role requires a deep understanding of instructional design principles and the ability to apply them effectively in various learning modalities. The ideal candidate will work closely with business partners and subject matter experts to create engaging and effective learning experiences that align with BAYADA's mission and values. In this position, you will demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way, developing a working knowledge of BAYADA's mission, services, people, organization, policies, and procedures. You will consult with BAYADA business partners to analyze learning needs and collaborate with leaders to identify, develop, source, and implement appropriate learning solutions. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing learning solutions in multiple modalities, analyzing course evaluations to determine effectiveness, and providing project leadership and coordination to the learning team when necessary. You will also be expected to progressively assume additional responsibilities and demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way.
  • Develop working knowledge of BAYADA's mission, services, people, organization, policies, and procedures.
  • Consult with BAYADA business partners to analyze learning needs and work with BAYADA leaders to identify, develop/source, and implement appropriate learning solutions to meet business objectives and learner outcomes.
  • Design, develop/source learning solutions in multiple modalities (classroom/event, virtual, video, paper-based).
  • Analyze course evaluations to determine effectiveness of learning design, and make appropriate corrections as needed to improve effectiveness.
  • Consult with subject matter experts on expected learning outcomes and objectives, providing guidance and leadership on adult learning strategies as needed.
  • Provide project leadership and coordination to learning team when necessary.
  • Conduct behavior in a professional manner.
  • Progressively assume additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.
  • Perform related duties, or as required or requested by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence, and reliability.
  • Four (4) year college degree required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in a corporate learning capacity, developing and/or sourcing, implementing, and measuring learning programs using a variety of learning technologies and methodologies.
  • Health Care work experience preferred; knowledge of BAYADA service office processes helpful but not required.
  • Proficient with rapid courseware development tools (Storyline 360, Camtasia, PowToon, Vyond).
  • Ability to apply common Instructional Design principles to learning, such as: Andragogy, Blooms Taxonomy, ADDIE, and SAM.
  • Maintains solid project management skills; able to manage multiple projects with competing priorities while meeting deadlines. Experience with project management tools such as Trello or Smartsheets is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with LMS systems/platforms.
  • Possesses a strong attention to detail and positive attitude.
  • Has worked on cross functional teams.
  • Experience working with vendors and ability to form positive vendor relationships strongly preferred.
  • Able to arrange information and files in an organized manner. Experience with shared/cloud storage, such as SharePoint, MS Teams and OneDrive is helpful but not required.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
  • Proven record of goal achievement; successfully takes on more responsibility with positive results and ambition to grow past current position.
  • Able to read, write and effectively communicate in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project management tools such as Trello or Smartsheets is preferred but not required.
