About the position

The Senior Associate, Integration/Test Engineer at L3Harris is responsible for integrating, testing, and validating RF systems and handheld radio devices. This role requires a strong background in RF communications and device management, ensuring that all systems meet rigorous standards and customer requirements. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve system-level issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures for RF systems and handheld radio devices.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform system integration tasks, ensuring that all components work together seamlessly.
  • Conduct RF performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Manage device configurations and firmware updates for handheld radios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, software developers, and project managers, to identify and resolve system-level issues.
  • Analyze test data, document test results, and provide comprehensive reports for engineering and management review.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to test methodologies and integration processes.
  • Provide technical support and training to users on the operation of RF communication equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field with 2 years experience or Master's degree with 0-2 years experience. In lieu of degree, 6 years experience in integration/test engineering.
  • 2 years of experience in systems integration and testing, with a focus on RF and handheld radio technologies.
  • 2 years of experience in RF principles, communication systems, and signal processing.
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Experience with device management protocols and best practices.
  • Experience working with complex RF/Radio systems.
  • Experience developing test cases, plans, and methods.

  • Experience with L3Harris handheld radio products and technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations pertaining to RF communications.
  • Experience with automated testing software and scripting languages.
  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
