About the position
The Senior Associate, National Security at Alvarez & Marsal plays a crucial role in providing risk analysis and mitigation services related to national security. This position involves working independently and collaboratively to enhance corporate compliance and ethics programs, conduct investigations, and support organizations in navigating complex regulatory environments. The role is integral to ensuring compliance with national security requirements and involves interfacing with clients to deliver high-quality work products.
Responsibilities
- Execute projects involving the design, assessment, and enhancement of corporate compliance and ethics programs.
- Conduct legal and regulatory risk assessments and compliance program effectiveness assessments.
- Design and implement compliance programming in accordance with best practices.
- Conduct internal fact-finding investigations involving alleged violations of statutes, regulations, or corporate policies.
- Assist with independent oversight engagements including corporate monitorships, trusteeships, and receiverships.
- Develop and refine engagement approaches and project plans based on guidance from team leadership.
- Independently interface with clients and deliver high-quality work products.
- Lead in the development of collateral, thought leadership, marketing, and other market-facing projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Prior experience as a compliance and ethics professional at a company or professional services firm, or with government law enforcement and/or regulatory agencies preferred.
- Excellent research and writing capabilities required, with the ability to produce complete, polished work products independently.
- Proficiency in using MS Office productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint).
