About the position

The position at HarbourVest involves developing marketing materials for new product launches within a collaborative and dynamic environment. The role requires strong content development and project management skills, with a focus on creating compelling marketing collateral that aligns with the firm's brand and messaging. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, working closely with various teams to support fundraising efforts and ensure consistency across all marketing communications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing materials for new product launches, including offering memorandums, presentations, fact sheets, and due diligence materials.
  • Participate in weekly product launch meetings and manage the production of marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with investment, operations, IR, compliance, data, and legal teams to build product launch content.
  • Work with external legal counsel on materials supporting launches and fund closes.
  • Support fundraising efforts by assisting with content updates, webcasts, and product insights.
  • Ensure a consistent message, tone, and brand across all marketing materials.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in content development and project management.
  • Proven business writing ability with excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
  • Solid understanding of marketing communication practices and relationship management processes.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, particularly in private equity, private wealth, private debt, and real assets/infrastructure.
  • Ability to compose content about sophisticated concepts in a clear and compelling style.
  • Experience working on marketing materials with an institutional asset management focus.
  • Ability to independently analyze information and solve problems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A) or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S) or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with investment concepts and comfort with numbers and analysis.
