About the position

The Senior Associate Scientist position within the Viral Delivery Technologies Team at Regeneron Genetics Medicines focuses on providing analytical testing, method transfer, and development support for the AAV Production Core. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation in next-generation genetic medicine, with responsibilities including method development, validation, and training in AAV production techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support analytical testing and method development for AAV vectors.
• Conduct method transfer and validation for various assays.
• Provide technical input as an analytical expert to support multiple workstreams.
• Develop and optimize analytical techniques to assess the quality and efficacy of AAV vectors.
• Train on AAV production techniques to support high throughput AAV production.
• Present data and findings to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure lab safety compliance.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Industry experience with analytical testing, method development, and validation.
• Experience with immunoassays, qPCR, SDS-PAGE, and Western Blot.
• Experience with Waters HPLC/UPLC systems and Empower software is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with ddPCR/dPCR, tissue culture, or viral production is advantageous.
• Experience developing and optimizing protocols, assays, or SOPs is highly desirable.
• Detail-oriented with excellent note-taking and communication skills.
