About the position

The Senior Associate, Senior Database Analyst role at Pfizer focuses on enhancing the oversight of clinical data management. This position is integral to processing, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of clinical data, which is crucial for supporting clinical teams and stakeholders in making informed healthcare decisions. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop data capture solutions and maintain compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities

• Process, review, and receive clinical data and records from therapeutic groups and investigators.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and consistent data reaches clinical teams and other groups.
• Develop data management plans, including data preparation and validation activities.
• Work closely with department roles and cross-functional study team members to create data capture solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more technologies.
• Lead and contribute to cross-functional technical initiatives in collaboration with Pfizer Digital and other teams.
• Support knowledge development of data capture tools and methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a Life Science, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or Regulatory Agency with an emphasis on building data collection and assimilation solutions.
• Technical skills and experience using relational databases, specifically Medidata Rave.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Understanding of drug development process and data operations for clinical trial data reporting.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and relevant data standards; CDISC knowledge is preferable.
• Strong communication, decision-making, influencing, negotiation, and project management skills.
