The Strategic Finance team plays a crucial role in this mission, responsible for driving cross-functional initiatives to achieve profitable unit economics and efficiently deploying resources. This position is pivotal during the critical launch period of a new product, requiring a versatile individual who can engage in various aspects of product optimization, including hardware design and manufacturing efficiency. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional finance teams to ensure wise investment of resources and to navigate the complexities of operational and product decisions. As a Senior Associate in Strategic Finance, you will be tasked with developing financial models that assess the impact of operational strategies, defining system requirements for real-time decision-making, and collaborating with teams to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your insights will be essential in enhancing operational strategies and identifying cost-saving opportunities. This role requires a fast learner who is passionate about fostering strong relationships across the organization and is comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deep dive into critical operational and product decisions to achieve sustainable profitable unit economics.
  • Develop financial models that assess the financial impact of various operational strategies and scenarios.
  • Define system requirements to enable real-time, data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with teams to streamline processes, optimize resource allocation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute financial insights to enhance operational strategies and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Partner with engineering, deployment, and operations teams to assess the financial feasibility of scaling new transformative products.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in finance, with a background in professional services and a company with operational or hardware/software components.
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional environments, navigating between different functions and perspectives.
  • Data-driven mindset with a commitment to fast-paced decision-making.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to build strong relationships with teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, capable of building and managing complex financial models.
  • Solid knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and investment analysis.
