About the position

The Senior Associate, Systems Engineer - Data Analyst at L3Harris is responsible for collecting, organizing, and integrating various data sets to support mission-critical projects in the defense industry. This role involves analytical creativity to develop tools for data management, creating dashboards for data visualization, and contributing to cost estimates for large programs. The position requires collaboration with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment, focusing on national security and technological solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and integrate data sets from various sources including Earned Value Management (EVM), accounting, schedule, budget, execution, quantity, technical and programmatic data.
  • Exhibit analytical creativity to tie data together and develop schemes/tools for database updates.
  • Develop, update, and execute policies/procedures for data management and accessibility.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations to show data collection status and provide first-pass analysis.
  • Contribute to cost estimates for large Space and Airborne Systems programs.
  • Develop knowledge of technical and programmatic requirements for various systems and projects.
  • Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans for software tool pipelines and analytical procedures.
  • Develop software test plans, procedures, and cases; use software tools and scripting for troubleshooting and database maintenance.
  • Analyze systems requirements from end systems and users.
  • Support development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • GPA of 3.0 or greater.

Nice-to-haves

  • Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, project management, object-oriented programming, and/or statistics.
  • Familiarity with project management software (Jira, MS Project, or equivalent), Visio, Python, Visual Basic, SQL, Git, and/or GUI design/creation.
