About the position

The Director, Internal Transaction Advisory will lead the newly formed Internal Transaction Advisory Services practice within Aprio's Corporate Development and M&A team. This role is pivotal in driving the company's growth through mergers and acquisitions, providing technical and advisory financial and accounting due diligence services, and building a high-performing team to efficiently manage M&A targets.

Responsibilities

  • Build templates and institute repeatable processes for efficient diligence of M&A targets at scale.
  • Build and manage a small team of exceptional individuals under tight timelines.
  • Provide technical and advisory financial and accounting due diligence services on acquisition targets.
  • Perform complex analyses including cash flows, quality of earnings, operating and profitability trends, and identification of potential liabilities and risks.
  • Actively manage multiple engagements simultaneously.

Requirements

  • CPA certification and knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Master's degree in accounting with an accounting undergraduate degree.
  • 6-8 years of experience in transaction advisory services practice.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a team player.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and strong working knowledge of other MS Office applications.
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work on multiple assignments.
