About the position
The Senior Associate - Tax position at Robert Half focuses on tax accounting and compliance, particularly with K1's and multi-state returns. Responsibilities
- Manage and organize tax data using ProSystems FX effectively.
- Prepare and review complex K1's and multi-state tax returns.
- Ensure all tax filings are in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and changes in tax legislation.
- Develop and monitor the company's taxation strategies to ensure optimal tax benefits.
- Identify potential tax savings and suggest methods to increase profits.
- Conduct internal audits and recommend procedural improvements.
- Communicate clearly and concisely to keep all stakeholders updated.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax or accounting role
- Proficiency in CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax software
- Well-versed in various accounting functions
- Strong auditing abilities
- Thorough understanding of tax compliance requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
- CPA certification or progress towards obtaining it is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
