About the position

As an Associate Technical Consultant at AHEAD, you will play a crucial role in building, configuring, troubleshooting, and performing technical analysis of customer networks. This position involves collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to ensure effective network communication and support for clients, contributing to their digital transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and troubleshoot customer networks.
• Gather technical requirements from AHEAD and customer technical staff for LAN/WAN communication design and implementation.
• Provide design, installation, technical support, upgrades, and optimization of network communications and systems.
• Perform customer support activities for data communications equipment and networking system products.
• Update the Practice Manager on scheduling and project status.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on new and emerging technologies, including obtaining vendor-related certifications.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in networking and technical support.
• Basic understanding and experience with Linux OS and fundamentals.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python) and APIs.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Ethernet technologies.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches, Meraki and ASR/ISR routers.
• Familiarity with routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Visio and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, and Fortinet firewalls is a plus.
• CCNA certification or equivalent work experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Associate/Professional level certification (CCNP, CCDP, or similar) preferred.
