About the position

The Senior Associate, Technology Product Analyst at New York Life Insurance Company is responsible for analyzing high-level business requirements and translating them into technical specifications for the Engineering team. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including Product Managers, Engineers, and UX designers, to ensure the development of high-quality products and the seamless integration of features. The analyst will document product requirements, define acceptance criteria, and act as the product owner for Scrum teams, driving project execution and ensuring alignment with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze high-level business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the Engineering team.
  • Collaborate with business unit Product Managers, Engineering, Architects, and UX to develop detailed requirements.
  • Document product requirements, business rules, and define acceptance criteria.
  • Resolve product questions and drive requirement clarity.
  • Act as the product owner for Scrum teams to drive project execution.
  • Work with the Product Design team to understand product feasibility and features.
  • Ensure that delivered systems are properly tested and meet product requirements with the Quality Assurance team.
  • Research and identify best practices from business and product perspectives.
  • Create Milestone Plans for feature delivery and control activity sequencing.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science plus three years of experience in technology product management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science and five years of experience in technology product management.
  • Experience performing database schema analysis for various insurance products applying HIPAA, PCI, and GDPR standards.
  • Experience assessing and recommending data and security controls on PEGA and Salesforce platforms.
  • Experience developing technical insurance product specifications and UI/UX requirements using FIGMA, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional collaboration with internal business teams for software product quality.
  • Experience visualizing data and creating reports using Adobe Analytics and Tableau.
