The engineer will create detailed plans and specifications for complex AV IT projects based on customer needs, ensuring that designs align with relevant codes, regulations, and AV IT engineering best practices. Effective communication with customers is vital, as the Senior AV Services Engineer will monitor projects and create documentation and specifications for third-party installation teams, verifying their work upon completion. Coordination with other construction engineering teams and participation in building meetings to facilitate inspections are also key responsibilities. Ultimately, the Senior AV Services Engineer will have a significant impact on UCSF's operations and culture by ensuring that the IT infrastructure is secure, efficient, and effective in supporting the university's mission. Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic design, implementation, and maintenance of UCSF's AV systems and infrastructure.
  • Initiate and lead complex AV projects, including customer and stakeholder engagement, documentation, design, and installation.
  • Provide senior technical guidance and training to the AV Services team and other Infrastructure Services teams.
  • Make recommendations on project planning, system design, and installation.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and regulatory requirements to drive continuous innovation.
