The Senior Auditor - Casino Accounting role is a critical position within the organization, requiring an individual with the utmost integrity to oversee compliance with Federal, State, and Tribal regulations, as well as the State/Tribal Compact. This position is under the direction of the Supervisor of Revenue Audit and involves planning and executing audits of gaming and hospitality revenue. The Senior Auditor will verify, allocate, and post transactions and daily cash deposits, ensuring that all operations comply with established policies and regulations. In this role, the Senior Auditor will create and review analyses of critical data, assist in compliance testing, and summarize audit findings. They will also review audit paperwork and provide recommendations based on their findings. A significant part of the job involves compiling data and preparing formal audit findings reports, which substantiate their conclusions and help reconcile entries, verify reporting, and prepare daily revenue reports for management. The Senior Auditor is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Gaming Commission's Tribal Gaming Minimum Internal Controls (TICS) and the Gaming Commission Regulations (GCR) by studying the standards, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary actions. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to exercise auditor judgment when performing and reviewing audits. The Senior Auditor will also provide advisory and consulting services to improve the accuracy and efficiency of audits, particularly for complex and sensitive audits. They will prepare clear and concise written communications and reports based on investigative findings, ensuring effective communication with other departments, management, and executives. Additionally, the Senior Auditor will manage audit teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, while performing additional duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
