About the position

The position is responsible for executing various audit activities, utilizing analytical skills and technical expertise to conduct assigned audit testing. The role involves independent execution of audit tests, project management, and collaboration with team members to draft quality audit reports. The individual will also establish relationships with business partners and influence management to enhance the control environment while fostering a positive work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Execute multiple areas of test work during audit activities.
  • Independently conduct audit test work on assigned audits.
  • Raise issues and concerns, making recommendations for severity ratings.
  • Assess issues for impact on business processes, controls, and strategies.
  • Provide input to draft quality audit reports and support sharing results with business leaders.
  • Establish business partner relationships, primarily engaging with line management.
  • Exercise critical thinking and judgment to influence management to improve the control environment.
  • Support peers and the audit team with development during audit execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Audit, Risk or Compliance experience in Financial Institutions or equivalent experience in QA or Testing role.
  • Strong understanding of the risk framework and process, risks, and control environment.
  • Sound organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a desire to learn and teach others, positive attitude, and flexibility.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and turn it into usable information.
  • Ability to work in detail while also looking broadly across a population to identify risks and concerns.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to influence management and lead change through issue identification.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with diverse teams.
