About The Position
In this role, you will be responsible for designing manufacturing equipment controls in-house to support early stage prototyping. You will participate in first piece builds to characterize and develop both product and process critical parameters to control the manufacturing process. Additionally, you will develop documentation to help ensure supplier work standardization during equipment project execution. Your responsibilities will also include managing the procurement, construction, acceptance, and deployment of production/test equipment, as well as managing integrators during specification, design, buyoff, installation, and ramp of Electric Engine production/test equipment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including IT, Production Engineering, EH&S, Quality, Operations, and Product Design will be essential. You will drive actions to maintain or improve equipment performance as measured by product quality, cycle time, and machine availability, and develop process inputs to MES and SCADA production systems while launching the MES platform with production equipment.
