About the position

The Senior Automation Engineer will play a critical role in leading software development testing efforts within a hybrid work environment in Plano, TX. This position requires extensive experience in Quality Assurance, particularly in automation coding and testing methodologies. The engineer will be responsible for delivering system design, application development, and ensuring operational stability while collaborating closely with development leads, product owners, and client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple software development testing efforts in the Quality Assurance industry.
  • Deliver system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical design and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks for web applications using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber.
  • Run code builds on CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo, and TeamCity.
  • Conduct Accessibility Testing (ADA Testing) for web applications.
  • Work independently to plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Quality Assurance industry experience.
  • 5+ years of strong automation coding experience in Core Java and/or Groovy.
  • Experience in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) with Cucumber or Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • 3+ years of REST Assured based API automation experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with UI testing automation using Selenium and Playwright.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo, and TeamCity.
  • 1+ years of experience with Accessibility Testing (ADA Testing) for web applications.
  • Experience with cloud deployments using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot applications.
  • Familiarity with Microservices architecture.
  • Experience with tools like Postman, JMeter, Blazemeter, Kafka, Oracle SQL, MongoDB, and SOAP UI.
  • Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and IAM.
