Senior AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer

About the position

Infosys is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer. This position's primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate for day-to-day deliverables for the team. The chosen candidate will assist in the technical design of DB Platforms; builds automations, integrate data products through automation, understands data security, retention, and recovery. The role holder should be able to research on technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions & should contribute to technology-specific best practices & standards; contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including, reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability and scalability; contributes expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guides/mentors the team during the build and test phases.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and coordinate day-to-day deliverables for the team.
• Assist in the technical design of DB Platforms.
• Build automations and integrate data products through automation.
• Understand data security, retention, and recovery.
• Research technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions.
• Contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards.
• Contribute to success criteria from design through deployment.
• Guide and mentor the team during the build and test phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in AWS Cloud, Terraform, Git Hub.
• Experience with DevOps Tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in AWS cloud resources like S3 Bucket, ECS, ECR, EC2, LB, Security Groups, etc.
• Hands-on experience in configuring AWS resources using Terraform code and CLI commands.
• Experience with Circle CI or any DevOps tool - Jira end to end.
• Experience in configuring CI/CD pipelines (preferably Circle CI or any other DevOps tool).
• Experience in managing code in Git Hub.
• Experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting.
• At least 4 years of experience in Python preferred.
• Experience of Software engineering design patterns and practices.
• Ability to directly interact with clients, understand requirements, and implement them as working code.
• Experience in JIRA and agile methodologies.
• Experience in Agile Scrum Process.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to self-deliver work and guide a team from offshore.
