About the position

Maximus is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer responsible for designing and managing Kubernetes environments on AWS, with a focus on containerized application deployment and performance optimization. This role is critical in streamlining application management for Department of Defense (DoD) projects and involves working with infrastructure as code and CI/CD integration to ensure smooth DevOps processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Kubernetes environments on AWS for containerized applications.
• Manage infrastructure as code, security, and DevOps practices for AWS resources.
• Work on CI/CD integration and application lifecycle management.
• Optimize performance, troubleshoot networking issues, and ensure system security.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in AWS and DevOps engineering with a focus on Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated experience and/or training in system administration in relation to workloads on AWS systems, Amazon EKS & in supporting development & testing teams.
• 5+ years of experience with containerized platforms.
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages, hands-on CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
• IAT Level II certification required.
• Kubernetes CKA certification and/or training.
