About the position

As a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the end-to-end design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for our AI and ML products. Your deep expertise in AWS services will be instrumental in building and optimizing our deployment processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure. We have a hybrid model that requires being onsite 60% of the time in Princeton, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for AI and ML applications.
  • Deploy, manage, and monitor AI and ML products on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and operations teams to streamline development and deployment workflows.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
  • Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes or AWS ECS/EKS.
  • Ensure adherence to security and compliance best practices throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Continuously improve infrastructure and development workflows by integrating industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior DevOps engineers and other team members.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement performance tuning measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on AWS services.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, and more.
  • Proven track record of setting up and managing complex CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Proficient in containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, or EKS.
  • In-depth understanding of networking, security, and database management within AWS.
  • Proficient with monitoring and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch, ELK stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capability to work under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or other relevant AWS certifications.
  • Experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or SageMaker.
  • Knowledge of data engineering and data pipeline tools.
